The department was established with an undergraduate programme in Automobile engineering in 2010. The department is well equipped with laboratories like Vehicle Maintenance and Reconditioning Lab, Engine Testing and Diagnosis Lab, Two and Three Wheeler Laboratory, Automotive Components Laboratory, Automotive Electrical and Electronics Laboratory, CAD/CAM Lab, Automotive Fuels Lab. The software packages available in the department include Pro-E, CATIA, Unigraphics, ANSYS, CAM WORKS for the faculty and aspiring students to pursue their research and project work.
We are providing an excellent exposure to like, well equipped laboratories & workshops through the modern equipments such as latest exhaust gas analyzer, a computerized Two-wheeler engine test rig with Eddy Current Dynamometer, modern automotive engines, sensors tutors, Wheel Alignment equipment, CVT, FUEL Pump Calibration equipment, Automatic Transmission, etc..
The department has highly-qualified and well-experienced faculty and staff members of proven ability and administrative skills. Keeping in view of the demand for automobile engineers the department has a vision to enrich the knowledge of students and update the updated technology of automobile engineering. etc.
The department has a separate library with a collection of various journals, SAE magazines and books.
The department offers consultancy services in Fuel Testing Laboratory, Advanced Automotive Electronics Laboratory.
